HKP UMP Parts Kit - .45 ACP

Mine came out great. It's definitely an entry level kit. My main concern was the DEF9 receiver as there's no info on them yet. But, it proved to be excellent. No issues what so ever. My only issue with the kit was with the front sling attachment. It was wobbly and loose even torqued down. I was afraid I'd damage the receiver if I went tighter. I'm sure a shorter screw or a gasket would have worked but I plan on installing rails anyway. I'd suggest ditching the sling attachment and providing rails with the kit even if it raised the price a little. Still a great kit.

Good overall. 3 issues. 1. Barrel thread pattern, 2. no rails, 3. Most parts are not HK. All that being said, cheapest way to get into the ump sytem.

Installation was pretty easy. The only issue I’ve had is the trigger would not reset after every couple of rounds. At one point, I had to manually reset the trigger after every shot. I looked it up in HKPro forums and it turned out that replacing it with the OEM German polymer sear and sear spring work best! No issues after that!

The parts kit is packed well and all the parts look good. There are no instructions, but it's such a simple build that if you need instructions, this probably isn't for you. The one annoying thing, which is why I knocked one star off, is the barrel. It is threaded 5/8-24RH, not M16-1LH. It would have been nice to have the flange for HK devices, but I knew that wasn't included from the pics. It appears that every threaded .45 UMP barrel HKP sells is M16-1LH, so it makes no sense to have a 5/8-24 barrel in this kit.
