This US-made thread protector is specifically designed for HK MP5, MP5K, and threaded barrel applications. Ideal for MP5, MP5-N, and MP5K-N style barrels, it is the factory-correct protector for all RCM MP5, MP5K, and USA-made barrels. Each Thread Protector is precision turned on Swiss machines with a durable finish.

Please note: The POF barrels are not factory spec and the use of this thread protector on a POF will not work properly. They will also not cover the threads completely on SP5/SP5K barrels.

This is a great thread protector, the outside diameter is the same as the barrel so it does not add extra bulk. I did however find out that my threads were not 1/2 x 28 as the specifications said on my rifle (it is actually 1/2 x 32 which i ordered and it fit great), but I put this on a 9mm pistol and it is much more streamlined than the one that came with the barrel.
