Great mount, but don’t like the optic mounting screws
This mount is very nice, is constructed very well, and clamps straight on my AP-5M receiver. The Primary Arms advanced Slx microdot cowitnesses perfectly with the iron sights - a little lower than 1/2 (which I prefer). I am giving the mount 4 stars because the heads of the optic mount screws are too tall and sit above the countersunk holes when torqued down. The screw heads will mark up your receiver and make it more difficult to get the mount level on the weapon. Lucky for me, I had some shorter head Aimpoint type screws that do sit flush when torqued down. I am going to message Botach tactical about this and maybe they will ship out mounts with shorter head screws.

The screws that came with mine were too short on the non-ejection port size. I had to get some these from amazon (Prime-Line 9177213 Socket Head Cap Screws, Hex (Allen) Drive, #6-32 X 5/8 in, Black Oxide Coated Steel), hope it helps anyone else that is in the same situation.

It's really good depending on your red dot. The best you will get is a lower 1/3 with current Holosuns. I happened to have an older one that will absolute co-witness because the battery isn't under the optic. This isn't the fault of the product, just a heads up. For the price, this cant be beat. It's solid and well machined.

Works just fine with the Romeo 5. Took awhile to figure out the mounting procedure. A rudimentary instruction sheet would?ve been nice. Mount allows co witness using the large rear sight aperture. Doing it over, I would spend the extra money and get the much more expensive HK pic rail mount.

My Aimpoint T2 sat too high for any kind of iron sight co-witness using the Picatinny rail mount that came with my MP5k clone. Not only does the Battle Steel mount do exactly what I want, it improves the aesthetic of the gun over the pic rail, too. The Battle Steel mount puts the Aimpoint's dot right that the tip of my front sight posted creates (for me) the perfect sight picture. A friend of mine who likes a cleaner sight picture through his optic recommended against the Battle Steel mount, but as I am pretty resolute when it comes to co-witnessing, the sight picture is fine by me. I shoot both-eyes open, anyway, so any optical clutter matters less to me. On the billboard style logo, a quick swipe with a black paint pen settles the logo right down. Pictures of this mounted would do wonders for helping people decide to purchase it or not.

Works so far. Not sure I didn\'t strip out a screw at 15 inch pounds but it\'s all holding. In hindsight, personally I would have preferred something a bit larger to open up field of view without sights in the way, but when you use the largest diopter it seems to work out well. The website sure needs some pictures of these mounted. Forgive my cropped photo.
