Works great, extremely solid fit once you get it there. Might be worth noting that I put this on a PTR-9c, which may have affected how close the mounts were to the sight tower.

If you're looking to keep a classic handguard on your MP5/ MP5K and use something like a light/ laser, this is the way to do it. Allowed me to securely mount a TLR-1 HL to my AP5, while still using the classic Wide Forearm.

I wanted something simple and affordable. This fits the bill. It fits well on any of the MP5 and MP5K clones but you could not use your 3 lug to mount a can. Taking 20 minutes, some Dremel work, and a bit of high temp BBQ grill paint and viola, it fits perfectly! Affordability makes it this a great choice.

No fitting required on an HK SP5 although it may interface slightly with the bottom of the cocking tube endcap. As others have said, it would likely interface with or prevent the use of a 3-lug mounted suppressor. Currently using it to mount a Streamlight TLR1 and am very happy with how ergonomic and streamline the setup is. Could likely also be used with a Surefire X300 or other similarly designed light. Likely could be used with a more traditional 1-inch body light/mount as well as other small rail-mounted attachments. Overall the build quality is good, the rail mounts solidly and provides an unobtrusive solution to mounting something to the gun other than to the hand guard. Only cons would be that it may require some fitting on certain variants and the finish on the rail doesn't seem to be very durable. Check to make sure your handguard will work with it and don't crank down on the screw as you could crack a plastic handguard.
