Universal Low Profile Scope Mount for HK MP5K, SP5KThis mount differs from our Regular 5.5" Long HK Low Scope Mounts in that it is slightly shorter in length and is contoured at the front to allow more area between the cocking handle and the rail. This added space keeps the operator's hand from hitting the mount when cocking or placing the weapon in the "Safe" position. This product is a direct response from several Customs and Border Patrol Agents who recently received new HK MP5Ks. All Heckler & Koch MP5s made after 2004 have much larger cocking handles than previous models as they went from a solid steel knob to an Over-Molded Rubber on that same knob. This made an already tight tolerance even tighter and in the case of many of our competitor?s mounts, making them un-useable.This new mount gives the operator a minimum of 0.190" of clearance (in the shortest area) and an added nearly 1/2 an inch over our competitors in front of the rail.We have left in the 2 WINDOWS / SLOTS cut in the top of the rail in order to see the Serial Numbers on HK MP5s, SW5s, and other MP5 variants. All of the aforementioned have serial numbers stamped on the top of the receivers. The above photos are of a customer's registered NFA / SBR. Cutting these slots was a direct request from our Law Enforcement Clients who have to see the serial numbers in order to check them in and out or the weapons lock-up area. In most cases, the entire serial number is 100% visible.The MFI Series of Low Profile Slotted Scope Mounts are the ONLY low profile mount on the market that does not require the mount to be removed in order to see the serial number.
