Solid piece
I just installed this handle. My SP5 is a new one as of 9/25. The pin for the handle, either the original or this replacement, was a problem to remove because the alignment of the pin with the opposite side stamped metal opening is off. I had to rotate the handle slightly off the axis shown in this video to trap it out. Installing it is much easier as it's straight in. As an aside this install made me determined to make a work stand for this great firearm. The replacement handle does offer better grip although it does stick out a bit more and sticklers might say it's a snag hazard vs the smooth one from HK.

Major Improvement
Major improvement but take your time knocking that roll pin out just enough to remove original handle so easier to install the extended. The angle of the handle is key when installing pin. 1/8mm punch recommended use a little bit of penetrating oil.

Solved her problem.
She couldn't cock the 5k using the stubby factory handle. After this was installed, she can. Score!

HK knuckle
If you’re reading this, you probably have a scuffed up HK knuckle. Works great, and doesn’t look too big on AP5P. Drastically reduces the possibility of receiving a jacked up knuckle from optic rail. Fully knurled adds grip. Just buy it, you won’t regret it.

Noticeable improvement; definately worthwhile.
This is perfect when running a Surefire M63 rail or KAC handguard. It looks too long UNTIL you install the rail and panels. It clears the KAC rail panel perfectly. I have tried a few improved MP5 parts and this one, though simple, really works as advertised. It's the equivalent of the modified Hk21 handle on a Hk91. Once you try it you know you will never go back. Install was easy. Pushed pin from the bottom up; two taps and check. If you don't knock the pin all the way out it's easy to swap the handle and knock the pin back through from the top. I did use an inexpensive gun vice to firmly hold tge receiver so I could use both hands to drive the pin. One for the small hammer and one to hold the roll pin punch.

Great addition
Easy to install. This adds just the right amount of extra length & leverage to make manipulations a bit speedier and easier. Looks cool even on retro styled mp5, and not goofy or out of place.

The HK MP5 Cocking Handle ? Extended Knurled is must add on. The larger knob makes for easier contact when loading and mag changes under pressure and time.

This charging handle is great! A little bigger and longer than the OEM with good grip. Great for bigger hands. On the plus side it also looks badass. I have no more issues charging my Century Arms AP5-P

I really like these extended cocking handles. I bought two. They would be perfect except for one very small issue. The flats on the side of the round shaft that are designed to clear the receiver walls are slightly too short. The genuine HK and PTR cocking handles have the flat start at the same point, but continue all the way to the knob portion. These flats stop and return to round before the knob. That round portion is too thick to pass through the cocking slot in the receiver, and will catch when cocking. A couple of minutes with a flat file and they were fixed. Very minor issue. I would definitely buy again.
