HKP MP5K/SP89/SP5K 9mm Cocking Tube Support Complete

Cocking Tube Support was very nice. Great finish/machining, and no fitment issues with the support itself. I did, however, have some problems with the detent and spring tension. I have a Zenith imported (MKE) MP5K and the MKE detent was visually more rounded and slightly shorter than the one that came in this support. This allowed easier manipulation of the charging handle, but still decent lockup in battery. But once the new support was installed, it would get really stuck in the forward position and even mortaring wouldn't unseat it. Had to remove the front sight cap and knock it out from the front with a dowel and mallet. Once I swapped the new spring and the old MKE detent into this assembly, things were easier to rack, though the new spring tension does still cause some stickiness. I am hopeful that will be reduced with time and compression/use. This is a sample size of one, and could simply be a result of a slightly out of spec clone cocking tube, but wanted to relay should it be helpful to anyone else.

The one that came from the factory was drilled crooked so the spring and detent would always come out. Ordered this guy and for one, it makes a drastic difference in the tension of the charging handle which is nice. Second, the hole is drilled perfectly straight and now I don?t have to worry about losing my detent anymore. 5-stars for sure!
