H&K 91/G3 (7.62x51 / .308) Cocking Handle Axle Pin

Great OEM part! Be prepared to hand fit this pin. Yes, you can drive it in with a sharp strike using a punch but I'd bet you'd never get it back out. I hand-fitted it by placing it in my drill press chuck and gently dressed it at medium speed with a mild file. A gentle tap was all it took took to install it and I have no worries about removing it if necessary.

So the pins are knurled on one end to pressure fit the rod into the cocking handle support. Out of the box the pin was simply too large, and required sanding to fit the part correctly. My suggestion is to put the pin in a power drill and sand down the knurled side until it fits flush and tight into the cocking handle support. Go slow, you only really have one shot at fitting the piece correctly, I ordered 2 just in case.
