Had the UTG $17.00 mount on the PTR 91, It actually popped off when I was messing around with the rifle. So I was like I really should get a solid mount. And this short mount fit perfectly with what I was doing with my rifle. It's grip is amazing and the Swiss make it so it's got to be good. Like I said it really fits perfectly and has a solid grip on the gun. I'm running a Sig Romeo 5 and trying to go as small and lite as possible so this mount was ideal. Just spend the money if your on the fence about it. It's worth it.

I have had a Century Cast Stainless CETME sitting in my safe for 20 years or more, and almost never used it. The iron sights were canted from the factory and so it couldn't be properly zeroed, and I couldn't get a claw mount that seemed to fit due to the recoil lugs just in front of the rear sight. A few weeks ago I was rearranging the contents of the safe, and drug this rifle out. I am fortunate in that it had a non-ground bolt head, but the bolt gap looked to be at the bottom of the spec. I installed a set of +4 rollers, and now it measures 0.014", which is good. So I decided to try to find a scope mount, as I had a 3-24x 30mm Mil-Dot scope looking for a home. I took a shot in the dark and ordered the Brugger & Thomet short version of a Picatinney rail adapter, AND IT FITS PERFECTLY. Clamps tightly on to the claw mount lugs on the receiver, and the best part it that there is a groove milled into the underside of the mount that accepts the forward recoil lug on the receiver! I couldn't ask for a better fit! The only downside is that the front bell of the scope is too large to view the front sight. If I were to ever adjust the front sight cant to zero the irons I will have to buy taller see-thru rings. I think this is the answer for those folks with a cast receiver CETME/G3/HK clone looking to mount a scope.
