Description
HKP HK USP .40 S&W +5 Magazine Extension
HK Parts magazine extension +5 adds 5 additional rounds to the full size USP & USP Tactical 13 round magazine. It uses the existing mag body, spring, and follower. Just slide the magazine extension on and tighten it and you're good to go. There is no gunsmithing needed. Ideal for competitive shooters, concealed carry or for use at the range.
HKP highly recommends using a magazine loader when loading ammunition into our extended magazines due to increased spring tension versus factory.
Compatible With:
- HK USP/USPT .40 S&W 13 round magazine: 18 Rounds
- Does NOT Fit HK USPC .40 S&W
- Does NOT Fit HK USP .40 S&W 10 Round Magazine

Before I make my gripes, let me make one thing clear; this magazine works reliably 100% of the time. It?s easy to install and works right away. On that alone, I find this a recommendable product. As for the gripes, I have to say that when this is full to 18 rounds, it takes *significant* pressure to get the magazine to seat on a closed slide, far more pressure than a full standard 13rd mag. For a range toy, it?s fine to load to 18 rounds, but if you?re planning on carrying this for duty, defense, or competition, I recommend keeping them downloaded to 17, which is still a plenty adequate number. Also, USP magazines already have a tendency to rattle around in the magwell, and the extended one tends to rattle a little since they don?t exactly sit flush. Again, that?s a very minor complaint, at the end of the day, it works.

For the life of me, I couldn?t fit the 18th round without really jamming it in the magazine, I hope I?m just doing something wrong. 18th round can barely fit, and when it finally does, the magazine cannot fully insert in the magazine well. The only way it would go in is by locking the slide open and then chambering the 18th round. Hence the ?+4 1/2? title. BUT OTHER THAN THAT, I?m still very happy to get more than 13 rounds! I figured that 1/2 round is not worth a negative STAR.
