HKP/H&K VP9/VP40 Enhanced Support Sleeve
The support sleeve in the VP series pistols is a crucial component that allows for the removal of the slide plate, firing pin assembly, and other parts. The factory version is made from polymer, which can wear down over time with moderate use.
HKP offers an enhanced support sleeve made from aircraft grade, hard coat anodized aluminum in HK Red, ensuring easier identification and significantly improved durability. This CNC machined part is far stronger and more resilient than the original polymer sleeve.
Proudly made in the USA, this support sleeve requires no gunsmithing and can be installed in just two minutes as a direct drop in replacement for the factory plastic sleeve. Both worked well however the reliability in the steel gives me a bit more confidence in the firing of my weapon. Can?t say which is better because metal on metal due tend to cause friction and wear. But it did install nicely.
