The end cap adapter and the hinge that connect the stock to the gun is fitted with perfection allowing it to open and close with smooth yet solid movement. There's no play or movement at all when locked into its open fully extended position and vice-versa. Once extended and locked into place it's fit and extremely durable construction allows for it to be held and used as if the stock was a solid non-removable permanent part of the rifle. I strongly recommend this product based on my own personal taste relating to its UMP style design as well as its H&K style reputation of designing and manufacturing only the most superior products that combine form and function. In comparison to the costs of authentic German made H&K options, the UMP style folding stock is as reasonably priced as possible considering that you're getting the absolute best product possible by a company known for its superior quality second only to Heckler & Koch themselves. Combined with other UMP styled accessories and components has allowed for a very unique and distinguished firearm which is instantly recognizable at first glance. With all the mechanical and performance based perfection of the iconic MP-5, combined with its more recent but equally as iconic UMP style and design, the B&T UMP style folding stock is the absolute best hybrid gun ever made in my humble opinion. It's superior Swiss made quality combined with its reputation of superior Swiss made engineering and construction, this product is keeping with Heckler & Koch's tradition of accepting no compromises, while also creating a hybrid of two of the most popular and recognized guns eleven made, the MP-5 and the UMP, and doing so with products made by the two companies that are consistently cloned due to both their reputations of being leaders in both quality and performance as well as design and style. As for the question regarding if this B&T UMP style folding stock fits an SP-5, the answer is "yes, like a glove. In addition to its perfect fit and performance at the range, this stock allows for both steady shouldering for consistent accuracy and performance, as well as a compact and easily transportable rifle for travel and mobility when folded into its collapsed position. However, the gun remains fully operational and easily operational in either position with both trigger and magazine release and access functional in either position."
