HK91, G3 Wide Handguard

Bought this handguard to replace the thin surplus handguard on my Century Arms C308. The product itself was much better quality than it looks in the pictures, and completes the look of the rifle as if it were an HK G3. Only negative is if you purchase this hanguard for your C308, you will need to grind down the front metal area where the pin drives through as well as make a small deeper notch for an area on the front bottom for a small pin sticking out from the barrel band, take care when doing this as you do not want to take off too much material as you need to grind a fair amount throughout the “valley” to make good clearance for the barrel band. In addition you may need to bore out the pin holes just one size up so everything lines up correctly and the pin drives in much easier with zero wobble in the handguard but that was on my example. Lastly Put some cold bluing to protect the bear metal surface and its good to go. All in all if i had a PTR 91 or a real HK G3 then 5 stars all day, but since i had to do some at home gun smithing to make it fit, a solid 4.5 stars because its exactly what i was looking for, and the texture on the grip is a nice added bonus for when you are shooting and wont it make your hand slip from firing rapidly.
