Description

New style .45 caliber tactical thread protector, cap fits all HK 45 cal full size & compact barrels threaded 16mm X 1mm left hand thread. A must have item to protect your threaded barrels, exposed threads & your HK pistol investment. Fits all HK .45 factory German threaded barrels. Each thread protector has a built in O-ring to allow the best fit possible to prevent the thread protector from coming loose. Each unit features the "crown shield" to cover and protect the exposed end of all barrels.The use of the thread protector will prevent the threads from being damaged or nicked, while providing a high quality, finished look to your HK pistol as HK does not provide a thread protector with the pistol. HK parts has them available to protect and increase the value of your investment.

    It works, however I?m not a huge fan of the lip that borders the bore of the barrel, I do own several of these and have never had a issue but I prefer the factory protector that has no lip, it just seems to make more sense to not have something Unnecessarily close to the exit point of the bullet. but again if you want a cool color or like that look, hkparts is the only alternative to factory in my opinion. Overall good product.

    Only docked it one star because out of the 2 I bought, one had some slight discoloration on the end and also not sure if it's designed this way but both thread protectors screw on smooth for about halfway then they meet a little resistance until tight. I know I'm not over screwing it and I can also tell I'm not damaging the threads. It's not scraping or anything, feels like it's meeting a rubber washer. So possibly designed that way to prevent the protector from spinning off while shooting.
