This factory correct part is the latest & greatest design & version.If you have issues with mags locking in place on clones or non-HK German firearms it may be that you need this important upgrade. Only the finest magazine release at the best price for those that have to have the utmost in reliability. Made from one piece instead of the older generation riveted 2 piece versions. The older 2 piece design was redesigned by HK Germany with a one piece design as the older design would fail where the 2 pieces were riveted in place. We have seen enough of these fail and decided to make one patterned after the German HK design.A must have upgrade for any MP5, 94 & MP5K & SP89 that has the older version for smoother, cleaner mag changes. My ap5's came with a little mag wobble (slightly undersized/un-even mag catches). This one is slightly bigger than the german made one (by about .10mm but this makes ALL the difference). It will depend on how big they cut the hole for your mag catch, but this will more than likely improve the issue if it doesnt all together solve it. The german made is the same size roughly as the one that MKE includes, so it wont improve anything (I ordered both and measured them), this one is SLIGHTLY bigger go with this one if you're trying to improve your mag wobble issue!

This part is a perfect drop in replacement for the defective factory catch in my POF MP5 clone. Before replacement, mags would work themselves out of the well and cause failure to fire. Now all mags lock in securely and replacing the part took 5 minutes with just a hammer and punch. Shipping was lighting fast and customer service was 5 stars. Definitely get this part if your MP5 clone won't hold a mag.
