Description
Surplus HK German Plastic training ammo bolt group. To be used with the readily available and cheap plastic tipped training ammo only! A neat collectible item as only a small number were made during the 1970's. The bolt carrier can also be cut down for special gunsmith projects such as HK51 and other special build projects.
Each lightweight bolt group Includes:
- G3/91 Extractor
- G3/91 Extractor spring
- Lightweight machined bolt head with locking piece filler
- Lightweight Tungsten F/A filled bolt carrier
- G3/91 Firing pin
- G3/91 Firing pin spring
The ammo was made as a short range training ammo that was designed to be accurate out to 100 meters but can also be shot 300+ meters. All of the ammo we have encountered was non corrosive ammo that is made in Germany and made in the 90's.
Please note: that the ammo is not to be trifled with as it is training ammo but can certainly be lethal as well. Only for use with the blue plastic training ammo.

I have a PTR it works fine in but I also have a lucky friend with a full auto G3. We swapped out the bolts and blasted away in auto with NO problems. Probably the only thing you will notice when using this bolt is that it does not look like the bolt going fully into battery but it is.

This enables the blue plastic ammo to be fired just like normal in an HK91 clone. I fed 100 rounds of the blue plastic ammunition (last affordable .308 ammo on the market in 2021) with no issues. The bolt is clearly marked (visible with the action closed) with a (Ub). That's Uebung, German for "practice", so do not use it with regular ammunition. It's a niche item, but if you fit in that niche, it's a good investment.
