Universal Cleaning Kit - Used

The box was sticky on the outside and there was gunk and stuff in the oil bottle and in some of the seems on the inside, but whatever. It's old milsurp, so I'd expect that. But it does its job for a quick clean. Cant really ask for much more than that.

For a used kit this is in remarkably good shape. It does not appear used at all.

The one I got had some gunk in the oil bottle and smeared all over the box but some ballistol and some effort took care of that in 10 minutes. Other than that everything seemed to be in good shape, tested it out on my PTR91 and it cleaned the bore pretty well but that's about it. And that's really all it was meant for I suppose, just to keep the bore, chamber and bolt head clean enough for service and it does do that well enough. If you like bundeswehr equipment and German engineering, it's a good buy for the price. But for the deep clean that you'll need after a day at the range? Just stick to your regular cleaning routine: bore snake, patches, toothbrush.
