If you own a Heckler and Koch rifle, true spec clone or CETME then you might be missing a faster, easier release of your magazines. HK's were originally designed to have a quick one-handed release capability for the magazine (paddle mag release). However, the semi-auto versions eliminated this much needed feature due to import restrictions.Presently, you have two choices to remedy this situation. You can spend $250+ to have a qualified HK gunsmith permanently modify and install the original HK paddle release. Or, you can get Tac-Latch for a fraction of the price. The tac latch system is even easier to use as it is on a position where your thumb would naturally index for the fastest magazine releases times available. The newest version has a machined textured surface for more positive handling and faster mag releases. The Tac-Latch requires NO modifications to the weapon (Factory HK spec firearms only some clones, PTR91's and custom builds will require light fitting). The Tac latch installs in minutes and can be removed without permanent marks or changes to your firearm.

Fits the following HK Firearms with mag wells built to factory specifications using factory HK parts:

• HK91, G3, SAR8, FMP,
• PTR91, CETME (fitting required as well as needing factory HK spec mag catch)

Most clones and PTR rifles will take significant mods to get the tac latch to fit and work in their firearm. This is because of the many different changes that the clone makers have used over the years with little to no consistency.

Please note: That some HK's & clones for some reason have an older rounded style mag catch. In order to use the Tac Latch you have to use a factory HK correct mag catch with the milled edge. We offer these as a separate item should you need one below.
