HK VP9, VP40, VP9SK – Firing Pin/Striker – Titanium

The lightest firing pin for your VP9, VP40 pistol.

Upgrade your HK VP series pistol to a Ti firing pin. This will allow for a faster & reduced lock time for faster shots and improved accuracy. By adding the titanium firing pin to your VP pistol you will notice a lighter trigger pull overall. A true drop in part made of the strongest, lightest firing pin material available. Made 100% in the USA from solid billeted Titanium which weighs nearly half of the factory firing pin. Coated in a robust DLC (diamond like coating) PVD process for extra hardness, wear resistance and durability.

Fits all HK VP Series Models:

  • HK VP9, VP9 Tactical, VP9L, VP9 OR
  • HK VP40, VP40 Tactical
  • HK VP9SK

Please note: Because of the inherent wear characteristics of Titanium and the wear properties of hardened steel of the lower grip steel sear vs. the Titanium  firing pin, the steel will eventually wear a groove in the titanium firing pin requiring a replacement. This item is sold as a wear & consumable part that will need to be replaced with use. As such there are no returns available for this item. They are sold as is.

It does reduce trigger pull. Combine with the enhanced firing pin block spring and lazy wolf F3 trigger makes for a great combination.

    Not durable or reliable

Have 3 of these. One each for a VP9 and VP40, and another for a VP9sk (different part #). I shoot the V9 and VP40 ~200 rnds each on a weekly basis. A few weeks ago I started getting dead trigger on both. Bump and rack sometimes fixed, but not always. Noticed the firing pin wasnt back when the trigger was dead, and if I did a press check the firing pin would reset and trigger worked. Deep clean of both didnt make a difference, but then I noticed the severe wear on the firing pin where the catch engages (see photo. titanium pin on left, stock steel pin on right). Both titanium pins in the VP9 and VP40 had the same wear. Replaced both with the original stock firing pins, and both work fine now, no dead trigger. I’ll still reorder and use this titanium firing pin in my competition vp9 and training vp40 because I like the feel of it, and I’ll concede that I’ll need to have replacements on hand when (not if) they wear out. BUT, I am swapping back to the stock firing pin on my ‘work’ VP9sk because I would want the trigger to work all the time and every time on that one.
If you have this titanium firing pin, check it. If it’s starting to look anything like the left pin in the photo, replace it before you get an underwear staining dead trigger experience.
